The 4 Gospel Writers What are specific things that you learned about the Gospel Writers from the group presentations? I learned that Luke was not an eyewitness of Jesus. Matthew and John were two of the original twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. Mark was a follower of Jesus but was much younger when Jesus was in Jerusalem. Mark was only a teenager at the time, and his mother was said to provide her home as the meeting place for Jesus' disciples. Mark wrote down the observations of Peter, one of Jesus disciples later in his life.
