1. What are some new historical facts related to Jesus that you learned from your own group presentation? Be specific.
   From my own group presentation, I learned that Jesus spoke to people of diverse backgrounds spanning across the Middle East. Jesus said that the poor in spirit shall find the kingdom of heaven, and this surprised many of his disciples and followers who were of Abraham's descent [Jewish]. The Jewish followers believed that their lineage alone guaranteed their passage into heaven, but Jesus taught that Jew or Gentile had equal responsibilities to fulfill in order to earn passage into heaven. Jesus delivered the Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount. The Beatitudes are eight blessed ways to live your life according to God. Jesus taught that by following the Beatitudes, you will find peace and love in your life through appreciation of simplicity.
2. What are some new historical facts related to Jesus that you learned from the other group presentations? Be specific.
   One of the most interesting facts that I learned was that King Herod of Jews issued the Massacre of the Innocents while Jesus was an infant. The king hoped to kill every baby boy under the age of two out of greed to keep his throne and never be overthrown. The discovery of archaeological evidence helped to prove where Jesus was most likely crucified. This site was called the Site of Cavalry. The evidence includes an ancient tomb found on the outskirts of Jerusalem, which matches the Biblical description of Jesus' resurrection cave. Another historical artifact of high significance to the Church is the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud of Turin is an ancient cloth with the face of a man presumed to be Jesus Christ engraved in the cloth. The Church has recognized this amazing find since the 1300s.
3. Which topic related to Jesus’ life did you find to be most fascinating and why?
   I find the Site of Cavalry to be most interesting because of its mysteriousness. I have heard the stories of Jesus' holy tomb and crucifixion sites and never dreamed that they could potentially be excavated for the modern world to view. The site of Jesus' crucifixion is more than 2,000 years old, and it is unbelievable that modern archaeologists and biblical scholars have worked together to determine that this event happened on the outskirts of Jerusalem in Golgotha. I have always loved learning about historical sites that cannot be one hundred percent confirmed. When religious "myths" such as Jesus Crucifixion are somehow proven to be real, I get really excited. Religious history is not only interesting but also important to discover because truth comes from knowledge about the past.

4. After reflecting on Jesus’ characteristics in the last unit and the events related to his life in this unit, who are two people in your life who display similar qualities as Jesus and why? Two people in my life who share similar qualities to Jesus are my mother and my father. My mother is selfless, loving, and would kill herself to save someone she loved. Just as Jesus died to save humankind, I know that my mother would give her life so that I could live mine. My father is wise and moral like Jesus. He always does what is right, and follows Jesus' example of being a kind, humble, and compassionate human every day. My parent's love for others is what truly makes them like Jesus.
   
   
   
   I chose this image/quote because it reminded me of Jesus entire being. He was the antithesis of evil, and always taught us to do good and love others. I think that Jesus to me is not just a historical figure, but a lesson in himself. "What would Jesus do?", is an accurate question to prompt anyone to do good.
